Intel CEO attacks Nvidia on AI: ‘The entire industry is motivated to eliminate the CUDA market’


Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger has challenged Nvidia’s CUDA technology, stating that inference technology will surpass training for AI. He announced this during the launch of Intel Core Ultra and 5th Gen Xeon datacenter chips. Gelsinger believes the industry is moving towards a more open “Pythonic programming layer” for AI training, and sees Intel’s future in the inference market. He also promoted OpenVINO, Intel’s standard for AI, and envisions a future of mixed computing.
