Debian 12 “Bookworm” Has Landed

GPT-4: Debian 12, the latest stable upgrade, has been released with new features such as an updated installer, Linux Kernel 6.1, PipeWire by default, and desktop environment upgrades. The release also includes better handling of non-free firmware, hardware compatibility improvements, and support for Secure Boot on ARM64. However, it comes with about 100 known bugs, so users should explore the release details before upgrading or installing. Debian 12 will be supported until June 2028.
