Neurons in The Brain Appear to Follow a Distinct Mathematical Pattern

Researchers from the Jülich Research Center and the University of Cologne have discovered a mathematical rule that predicts the distribution of neurons in the brain. The rule, which follows a lognormal distribution, could aid in creating accurate models of the brain, potentially leading to new treatments for neurological diseases. The findings were based on data from seven different species, suggesting a common pattern across mammals.
