16,000 mph Faster! Is Earth in a Race Towards a Black Hole Catastrophe?


Earth is moving 16,000 mph faster and is 2,000 light years closer to the supermassive black hole at the Milky Way’s center than previously thought, according to 15 years of data from the Japanese radio astronomy project VERA. The project’s high precision has led to a revised center for the Milky Way Galaxy, closer to Earth than previously believed.
