Black Holes May Lurk Much Closer to Earth Than We Realized


Astronomers have discovered that the Hyades cluster, a group of stars 150 light-years away, may contain two or three stellar mass black holes. The findings suggest these could be the closest black holes to our solar system, aiding our understanding of black hole distribution across the Milky Way and their impact on star cluster evolution.
