GPT-4: The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) has announced that the UAE’s first large-scale AI model, Falcon 40B, is now open source for research and commercial use. TII is providing access to the model’s weights to promote transparency, accountability, and innovation in the field. In addition, TII has launched a call for proposals, inviting researchers and entrepreneurs to leverage the model for various applications. Selected projects will receive “training compute power” as investment, and VentureOne will facilitate computation power to productize the most innovative solutions.
