GPT-4: A major vulnerability in the KeePass password manager allows attackers to steal users’ master passwords in plain text by extracting it from the target computer’s memory. Security researcher ‘vdohney’ discovered the flaw and published a proof-of-concept tool on GitHub. KeePass’s developer is working on a fix, expected to be released in June or July 2023, but a beta version is available for download. Users are advised to avoid downloading apps or opening files from unknown sources, stay away from questionable websites, use antivirus software, and never share their password manager’s master password.
