Multiple Notepad++ Flaws Let Attackers Execute Arbitrary Code


Several Buffer Overflow vulnerabilities have been found in Notepad++, an open-source C++-based source code editor. These vulnerabilities, ranging from medium to high severity, can be exploited by threat actors for malicious purposes. The vulnerabilities are yet to be patched by Notepad++, but GitLab has published a detailed report about them, including proof-of-concept and example code.
