New Tsunami botnet targets Linux SSH servers


GPT-4: Researchers from AhnLab Security Emergency Response Center have discovered an ongoing hacking campaign targeting poorly protected Linux SSH servers to install the Tsunami DDoS botnet, also known as Kaiten. The botnet primarily targets IoT devices and Linux servers with brute force attacks. The Tsunami botnet supports multiple DDoS attack techniques and commands, making it a versatile threat. Administrators are advised to use strong passwords, update patches, and employ firewalls to protect their servers from such attacks.
