Microsoft has pledged to indemnify commercial customers using its Copilot AI services against intellectual property infringement claims. The tech giant’s new Copilot Copyright Commitment will cover any legal costs resulting from lawsuits, provided customers use the built-in guardrails and content filters. The commitment applies to various Copilot services, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Microsoft Security Copilot. However, it does not extend to consumers and consumer services.
